What's inside

Everything you need to play a smooth set.

Load your own tracks, let OpenDeck analyse them, and mix by hand or let AutoMix blend the whole queue for you.

Two decks + mixer

Deck A and Deck B with crossfader, volume faders, master level, pitch control and one-tap SYNC.

AutoMix

Queue your tracks and set MIX IN / MIX OUT points. OpenDeck blends them on the bar line, with 1, 2, 4 or 8-beat transitions. Prefer manual? Trigger MIX A / MIX B yourself.

BPM & key detection

Tracks are analysed in the background. See BPM, musical key (Camelot) and beat grid, and sort your library by them.

Hot cues & loops

Four hot cues per deck (tap to set or jump, hold to delete) and one-touch auto loops from short to long, with instant EXIT.

Effects

Hold-to-play ECHO, REVERB and BRAKE per deck, plus a HP / LP filter for sweeps and clean transitions.

Headphone cueing

PFL pre-listen with its own headphone volume. Send master and headphones to different outputs where your device allows it.

Your music library

Add folders once and OpenDeck remembers them on desktop. Search, sort by title, time or key, and browse as list or tiles. Plays MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A/AAC, OGG/Opus and AIFF.

Three skins

Classic for a traditional layout, Perform for big touch-friendly controls, Compact for small screens. Switch any time.

Keyboard-first

Every important control has a key: play, cue, sync, hot cues, loops, FX and AutoMix. Works on any keyboard layout.

How it works

Simple on the surface. Careful underneath.

OpenDeck reads the audio files you choose and plays them through a real-time audio engine on your own device. Each track is analysed in the background for tempo, key and beat grid, which is what makes SYNC, loops and AutoMix land on the beat.

Nothing is uploaded. There is no account, no cloud library and no tracking. The app doesn't need an internet connection to mix your music.

FAQ

Good to know.

Is OpenDeck really free?

Yes. It's a free download with no account, no ads and no subscription. It is provided “as is”, without warranty.

Why does Windows or macOS warn me?

Because the app isn't signed with a paid developer certificate (a yearly fee for individual developers). The warning appears for any unsigned app. Follow the install guide above to continue, and download only from this page.

Does it need the internet?

No. OpenDeck works fully offline with the audio files on your device, and it doesn't send your music or usage data anywhere.

Which audio formats can I play?

MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A/AAC, OGG, Opus and AIFF. Exact support can vary slightly by operating system.

My folder isn't remembered on Android.

Folder memory is a desktop feature. On Android, use + Files in the library to pick your tracks each session.

Can I use a DJ controller or a second sound card?

You can send master and headphones to different audio outputs where your system allows it. Dedicated controller (MIDI) mapping isn't included in version 1.0.

Is there an iPhone / iPad version?

Not at the moment. OpenDeck runs on Windows, macOS, Linux and Android.
